Unitarian and Universalism were both Christian movements that came to be regarded as heretical by orthodox Christianity. Namaqua Worship Associates, Doug and Andy explored the history and theology of these two movements, asking how their theological principles continue to inform contemporary Unitarian Universalism, even as we have moved beyond an explicitly Christian grounding.

The theme for October is healing. It seemed appropriate for us to explore that topic individually and as a church. What constitutes "healing" exactly? Are we, each of us and as a group, willing to do the hard, honest work required? We gathered and went down that road together.

Our forebears, the Pilgrims, came to these shores committed to live out a new covenant. One in which each person lives in harmony with the others in the church. Not because they are told to by the head of the church, but because they choose to. We are the beneficiaries of their wisdom and courage. And love for one another.
