 What's happening at the UUCG?
August 29th- September 4th Sunday, September 4th- Pet Blessing- Kathy Wise You are invited to bring your pet to participate in a joyful animal blessing presented by Kathy Wise and a Worship Associate. We will meet outside in the children’s play area side yard and, of course, children are invited to participate as well. (Please do not take pets inside the church as some of our members or guests may be allergic) Kathy could use some help setting up chairs and a table outside- please arrive early (9ish) to help! At the end of our blessing we will have some time to share our favorite pet stories. In the event of inclement weather we will substitute photos of our pets rather than actually bringing them and move the service inside. RE: Fun Shop with Denise Pearson Other News and Reminders First Annual Books, Games, and Music Sale! Friday September 9th 1-6pm and Saturday September 10th 9-3pm We will need any of these items if you would like to donate:
Lutheran Family Services Refugee & Asylee Programs was given garden space for our refugees in Greeley to use! We have a garden expert helping us with this project and she recommended that we ask for the following to be donated: Seeds: pea pods, summer squash, lettuce, pumpkins, beans, spinach, carrots, onions, small potatoes Starts: tomatoes, herbs, eggplant, broccoli, peppers, cucumbers, lemongrass, rosemary, basil, cilantro, garlic Perennials: chives, sage, oregano, tarragon, grapes, strawberries Supplies: gloves, baskets, weed tools, cutters, bleach spray, fertilizer, rakes, hand tools/shovels, rope, lattice, 2 tarps, wire tralices, hoses, waterproof sign-in book If you would like to donate, please email Sarah Gostenik at sarah.gostenik@lfsrm.org, thank you!
