Our Optimistic Faith- Ruth Rinehart The Rev. James Freeman Clarke, in 1886, proclaimed Unitarianism an optimistic theology, which included "the progress of [hu]mankind, onward and upward forever." Do we believe this? In the midst of climate chaos and the unspeakable brutality humans are capable of inflicting upon one another, what are our sources of hope? PFLAG is a national organization providing information and support for families, friends and allies of LGBTQ persons. There is a group proposing opening an official PFLAG chapter in Greeley in early 2015. There will be an exploratory meeting to consider an emergent PFLAG chapter formation in Greeley to be held on Saturday, January 24th at 10 a.m. at First Congregational Church, located on 16th Street, just west of the Northern Colorado Medical Center.
