What's happening at the UUCG? January 2nd-8th

Sunday, January 8th- Shelter from the Storm: Prophecies of Hope in an Anxious Era- Cole Hart
Otherworldly yet self-fulfilling, prophecies have driven us to war and peace, order and chaos throughout human history. As 21st century Unitarian Universalists, we'll examine ancient and modern prophecies and the movements they've inspired to rediscover and sustain a calm hope in uncertain times.

Cole Hart is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder and is discerning what kind of UU minister he wants to become and where he will attend seminary in the near future. Cole enjoys the mountains, his chosen family, and the freedom to discover oneself and one's connections to the earth and each other that Unitarian Universalism provides.

New Spiritual Stimulation and Support Group!
2nd & 4th Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:00pm at the church.  Childcare provided.
What is spirituality, and how do we stimulate it?  How can we provide meaningful support to one another while walking this complicated and beautiful journey called Life?  Come join us as we explore answers to these questions and more, beginning
Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 7:00 to 8:00pm.
Beginning in January on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday evenings UUCG will offer a time to stimulate our spiritual lives, as well as support one another.  The “spiritual life” takes a conscience effort.  It helps to set aside time for focusing on it, and to build off of the experiences and thoughts of others.  Life itself is a journey that we cannot make alone.
We will begin each group with a brief reading or audio/video recording applicable to our spiritual lives, then open the stimulation time for discussion.  Partway through our hour we will switch to providing support for one another through our joys and sorrows, ups and downs, frustrations and elations.  No preparation is needed, and each Tuesday evening will be a stand alone group---so come as often as you are able.
We will begin in January with the topic of the 7 Principles of Unitarian Universalism.  This topic emerged in the cottage meetings our church held last spring as being of particular interest to our congregation.Come answer the call of your heart to join with others for the blessing of support and the challenge of stimulation!Questions? Grocery Certificate Volunteers Needed!
Due to a change in family life Rosemary Edmiston must relinquish her duties as a grocery certificate volunteer and Hollis Berendt wishes to spend more time with her family- thus it is time for a personnel change.
We are hopeful that several will volunteer creating a team of volunteers with a coordinator so that the duties will not fall on one or two people all of the time. The coordinator or at least one volunteer should have access to a computer.
The grocery certificate service provides added revenue for the church, and works closely with the UUCG Treasurer and Board.
Volunteers need to contact Rosemary, Hollis, Erika Coan or Reverend Barry Bloom.

How can I contact Rev. Barry Bloom? If you need to get into contact with Rev. Barry Bloom please email him at revbarrybloom@gmail.com or call him at 303-273-9908.

How can I contact our Board Members?
Board Vice President Marika Barth:
marikabarth@hotmail.com
Board Secretary Josette Schaffer: josetteschaffer@msn.com
Board Treasurer Erika Coan: eacoan@gmail.com

If you have an announcement you would like to see in our weekly announcements please email Meghan at office_manager@greeleyuuc.org by 10 am on the Tuesday you wish to see the announcement in!
