How do we recognize when resistance is truly a wasted effort, and when resisting is the very thing we must do? RE:Classroom Sunday Primary: Human beings. Human rights. Teacher: Mitchell Willcox Intermediate: Can Walls Talk? Teachers: Shelley Gotchey and Michelle Noftsker Other News and Reminders UUCG Members: At the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greeley, we strive to grow spiritually, live meaningfully, and help heal the world. The Committee on Shared Ministry is responsible for taking the pulse of how our ministries are fulfilling that purpose. We also assess the spiritual health of the congregation. In order to do so, we will be conducting a "Heartbeat Survey." At church on January 10, 17, and 24 we will distribute a survey that includes five short questions. We ask that you complete the survey one time sometime during those three weeks. If for some reason you are not able to attend church on at least one of those days, email or phone us so that we can get the survey to you. (ssgotchey@comcast.net or 970.356.3562) Results of the survey will be shared in February. The Committee on Shared Ministry: Jim Shearer, Shelley Gotchey. Grandmother's Circle: Grandmother's Circle is scheduled to meet on the Thursday, January 21st at 7pm! Please RSVP to either Sylvia Falconer or Tandie Mitchell so they can know how many to expect! Love your Church, Love your Sweetie UUCG Annual Fundraising Auction Saturday, February 6, 2016 7:00pm LOVE is the spirit of this church! We say it every week in our covenant. We’ve heard of the U.U. “Standing on the Side of Love” campaign. Unitarian Universalists affirm unconditional, universal love as a foundation and grounding for our actions in the world. This is one of the few events we have every year where we join together to spread the reach of love we offer to our wider community by raising important funds to further our work. Please SAVE THE DATE: February 6, 2016, so you can ATTEND (maybe to find a Valentine’s gift for your sweetie)…and be thinking of what item, experience or service you could DONATE! “The love we give away is the only love we keep.” Elbert Hubbard New Directory: You can access our new directory from the website in the for members section. We are not printing large numbers of the directory so that we can continually update the information and save a few trees. If you cannot access the directory this way and would like a printed copy, please send a request to office_manager@greeleyuuc.org Place a Service Snowflake on the Task Tree Please notice the task tree on the divider by the sound booth. Please put your name on a leaf indicating where you would like to help. There are also leaves with no task. If there is something you'd like to do, but don't see that particular task, please write your name and the task that you would like to share. We thank you for your gifts of your time. We cannot run the church with out you.
