We will vote on this budget at the Congregational Meeting on Sunday, June 26th at 11:30am. Other News and Reminders Please remember to purchase your gift cards and fill out a family order form. Click HERE for the order form. If you have any questions, please contact Hollis Berendt. Remember using Scrip and Grocery cards is an easy way of support UUCG by purchasing cards for items you already plan to buy! You buy the card and receive the full face value and the church receives a rebate directly from the merchant! Purchase Painting of UUCG: Our current Chalice Arts show is courtesy of local artist Susan Haskins. As you can see, one of her passions is painting local churches. At the front of our sanctuary, on the south side, is a painting of our beautiful church. Several have mentioned it would be nice for the congregation to purchase this and keep it among the paintings our church owns. If you are interested in contributing any amount to this, there will be a location in the church lobby on Sunday, June 12th to contribute to this purchase. LFS Backpack Drive- For those of you who aren’t aware, the Lutheran Family Services Refugee & Asylee Program office is a ½ block from our UU church and has been using classroom space at the church for job readiness classes on Tuesdays and Wednesday afternoons. The UU church of Greeley has also participated in a winter attire drive last winter and helped Sarah Gostenik provide baby carriers to refugees in Greece this last March. Now, gearing up for the upcoming school year, LFS is hosting a backpack drive for refugee and foster care students in our area. If you’d like to participate, please see the flyer on the bulletin board in the foyer for details and you can drop off at the LFS office (1502 9th Ave) by July 22nd, or contact Sarah at sarah.gostenik@lfsrm.org. You may also contact Sarah if you have an interest in volunteering with LFS or learning more about refugee issues. Thank you for supporting our refugees from Somalia, Burma, Cuba and Eritrea and making them feel welcome in Greeley as they work towards self-sufficiency!
