What's happening at the UUCG? May 16th-22nd
Wednesday, May 18th- Men's Philosophical 7pm Thursday, May 19th- Newsletter Submissions Due 5pm Thursday, May 19th- Grandmother's Circle 7pm Saturday, May 21st- Don't Miss Out! Shape the Future of UUCG and Build the Church of Your Dreams 9:00am to 3:00pm An experiential day of community, music, ritual, art, connecting, small-group circles, spiritual & intellectual stimulation, dreaming. A day of caring for one another and our church, Holy Listening, sharing from our hearts. A day of sacred work to determine how to use our collective gifts in service to Life! The Big Reveal will unveil what your fellow church community said in the cottage meetings. Aren’t you curious how others views were the same or different from your own? Many heart-felt sentiments were expressed. Many AMAZING ideas came out! Together we are strongest. Come hear what matters collectively to this community. We’ll be taking the Big Reveal (your feedback in the cottage meetings presented back to you) and actively working with the themes that emerged. Further refining and processing them into a core of big directions that this congregation wants to move in. As we work together on the themes each person will provide input to help us get more and more clear. Your voice is important and welcome whether you were a part of the cottage meetings or not. What does it mean to be and build Beloved Community, and who is it for? What’s trying to emerge in this congregation? Which direction are we called to move in? Where will we invest our time and money? How might this church’s choices serve Life? How can we deepen the invitation this congregation extends to those currently here and those yet to find us? Childcare is available. Lunch will be provided. Sign up in the church foyer so we know how many children will be present, and how many lunches to provide. Everyone who attends will receive a GIFT from the church! Sunday, May 22nd- Flower Communion- Ministerial Resident Diana McLean Flower Communion is one of our unique Unitarian Universalist traditions, with a rich history. We'll celebrate the history and exchange the gifts of flowers! Please remember to bring a flower with you to give away- extras are always welcome for guests and for those who weren't able to get flowers.
