Wednesday, May 4th- Men's Philosophical 7pm

Sunday, May 8th- Count Your Blessings- Dan Lillie
In many contexts, blessings are understood to come from God. From my experience, however, my greatest blessings have come from my family and friends: my beloved community. By building up the beloved community, we learn to accept our blessings with gratitude, and to generously "pay it forward" by learning how to be a blessing in the lives of others.
RE: Classroom Sunday on Mother's Day

Sunday, May 8th- Klezmer Concert 2pm
The entire genre of Yiddish music was nearly wiped out during the Holocaust as it was considered Degenerate by the Nazis, but it has seen a major revival in recent years. Join a Bisl Klezmer, with our own choir director and accompanist Sam Henline on Mother’s Day for a look at Yiddish music since World War II, with a special focus on Jewish motherhood in klezmer music. As the final event of the City of Greeley’s Holocaust Memorial Observance, Deception, Defiance and Deliverance we invite you to an event that embraces the resistance and liberation that did not destroy the possibility of joy. Make this one of your Mother’s Day activities and invite your friends and family.  Free.

Other News and Reminders

Saturday, May 21, 2016  9:00am to 3:00pm: DON’T MISS OUT!

Shape the Future of UUCG and Build the Church of Your Dreams
An experiential day of community, music, ritual, art, connecting, small-group circles, spiritual & intellectual stimulation, dreaming.  A day of caring for one another and our church, Holy Listening, sharing from our hearts.  A day of sacred work to determine how to use our collective gifts in service to Life!
The Big Reveal will unveil what your fellow church community said in the cottage meetings.  Aren’t you curious how others views were the same or different from your own?  Many heart-felt sentiments were expressed.  Many AMAZING ideas came out!  Together we are strongest.  Come hear what matters collectively to this community.
We’ll be taking the Big Reveal (your feedback in the cottage meetings presented back to you) and actively working with the themes that emerged.  Further refining and processing them into a core of big directions that this congregation wants to move in.  As we work together on the themes each person will provide input to help us get more and more clear. Your voice is important and welcome whether you were a part of the cottage meetings or not.
What does it mean to be and build Beloved Community, and who is it for? What’s trying to emerge in this congregation? Which direction are we called to move in?  Where will we invest our time and money?  How might this church’s choices serve Life?  How can we deepen the invitation this congregation extends to those currently here and those yet to find us?
Childcare is available.  Lunch will be provided.  Sign up in the church foyer so we know how many children will be present, and how many lunches to provide. Everyone who attends will receive a GIFT from the church!
