Other News and Reminders

Support Standing Rock Protectors
Please help us fill a vehicle UNC students will take to Standing Rock over Thanksgiving break. Support Native American efforts in the Dakotas to protect their water supply and honor the right of clean water for all people.  Needed are non-perishable food, personal hygiene items, liquid antacids, winter survival gear, sleeping bags and blankets.  Bring items on Tuesdays and Sundays through Nov 15.  Encourage  friends to share in this project!  A marked box will be in the foyer.  Thanks, Social Change Circle

Grocery Certificate Volunteers Needed!
Due to a change in family life Rosemary Edmiston must relinquish her duties as a grocery certificate volunteer and Hollis Berendt wishes to spend more time with her family- thus it is time for a personnel change.
We are hopeful that several will volunteer creating a team of volunteers with a coordinator so that the duties will not fall on one or two people all of the time. The coordinator or at least one volunteer should have access to a computer.
The grocery certificate service provides added revenue for the church, and works closely with the UUCG Treasurer and Board.
Volunteers need to contact Rosemary, Hollis, Erika Coan or Reverend Barry Bloom.

Lutheran Family Services is having a Coat Drive from October 24th-December 16th! Please donate your unwanted winter coats and help refugee families to stay warm! Please drop off your donations at the LFS Refugee and Asylee Office! Click HERE for the official flyer!
