What's happening at the UUCG? August 2nd - August 8th, 2017 Sunday August 6th - “Lughnasa / Lammas ( Harvest Celebration)” Kim Womantree Lughnasa / Lammas is a Celtic festival celebrating the beginning of the Harvest Season. Our version of this ancient festival will include sitting in a circle, calling the 4 directions, and blessing the abundance of the harvest, as well as thinking of what we are “harvesting” in our own lives. We will chant, and sing some traditional UU hymns. This will be a family friendly pagan “lite” service brought to you by the UUCG Pagan Circle. If you like, please bring some harvest abundance to share – veggies and fruits from your garden, a big sale at the farmer’s market, etc. We will have a table for all to leave or choose what they wish; leftovers will go to a homeless shelter. RE: Multi-gen Service..Younger children will attend the Service for at least the first 20 minutes, older children are encouraged to attend the entire Service. Spiritual Stimulation & Support Group Spiritual Stimulation & Support Group will be suspending their meeting times for the Month of August. More information to follow. Other News and Reminders Sunday August 20th- **Breakfast Social** Please join us for Breakfast before service from 830 am – 930am Donations will gladly be received! Please RSVP by August 16th on the clipboard at church, or by calling the Church office at 970 351-6751 - leave a message or email office_manager@greeleyuuc.org. Sunday, September 10th - Mark your calendars. Rev. Barry Bloom will be with us for our Beginning of the Church Year Celebration. There will be a potluck meal following the service. More info to come! Grocery Certificates Do you have $5 in cash or check? You can take that $5 and buy a King Soopers card on Sunday morning at church. Then take it to the store and load it up with any amount you want $25... $31.. $74..etc (whatever amount) and the UUCG will receive 5% back every time you reload. Reload before you purchase your items, simply hand your card with cash, check, debit or credit card to the cashier and tell them how much you would like on your card. There are no strings attached. You can still get the specials and can use coupons. And UUCG will get 5% of what you buy! IT'S THAT EASY... We will continue selling Sprouts and Safeway cards in $100 form.
