***Spiritual Stimulation and Support Group Is suspending their meeting times for the Month of August. *** Sunday, August 13th - “Laughter Is The Divine Oil That Keeps The Engines Of Love From Freezing Up.” - Paul Gibb “Fairy tales, films, and literature all make it seem that a person has to be perfect in every way in order to be loved. Hear about a life-changing experience that helped a person learn that risking real love has a lot to do with forgiveness of imperfection and that laughter is part of that forgiveness. RE: Play Tuesday, August 15th- Environment Awareness Do you know what is happening behind your backyard? Local Environmental groups will be sharing their work, concerns and vision for our area. 6:00 - 8:00 PM Where: Joe Molina’s Gallery and Studio 930 8th Av., Greeley Tuesday August 15th- Staff Time Sheets Due Other News and Reminders "Thank You" to The Clugstons for making arrangements with Menjivar Tree Services to have our Jade Trees trimmed. Our Jade Trees on the South side of the Building are a rarity to Colorado. They have had some issues because of lack of water. The trees will need to be fertilized in the fall and hopefully they will continue to grace us with their mature presence, Thank you Karen & Scott! Book Club The Book Club meets on the third Thursday of the month at 1pm at Your Place Coffee, 2308 W. 17th Street, Greeley, CO 80634. The selection for Aug 17 will be Erich Maria Remarque's All Quiet on the Western Front. Anyone is welcome to drop in. Sunday August 20th- **Breakfast Social** Please join us for a "Traditional" Breakfast before service from 830 am – 930am Donations will gladly be received, Please RSVP by August 16th on the clipboard at church, or by calling the Church office at 970 351-6751 - leave a message or email office_manager@greeleyuuc.org. Sunday, September 10th - Mark your calendars. Rev. Barry will be with us for our Beginning of the Church Year Celebration. There will be a potluck meal following the service. More Info to Come! FREE Book Shelf in Foyer behind bench. First come first serve, please make plans to pick up during office hours. Grocery Certificates Do you have $5 in cash or check? You can take that $5 and buy a King Soopers card on Sunday morning at church. Then take it to the store and load it up with any amount you want $25... $31.. $74..etc (whatever amount) and the UUCG will receive 5% back every time you reload. Reload before you purchase your items, simply hand your card with cash, check, debit or credit card to the cashier and tell them how much you would like on your card. There are no strings attached. You can still get the specials and can use coupons. And UUCG will get 5% of what you buy! IT'S THAT EASY... We will continue selling Sprouts and Safeway cards in $100 form.
