What's happening at the UUCG?
July 23rd-July29th, 2019 Worship this week Sunday, July 28th, 2019 Pride Faith Service The Unitarian Universalist Church of Greeley was selected to host the first Greeley Pride weekend faith service. Our own Julie Miller will be delivering the message at the service this week and we expect quite a few visitors. Following the service will be a potluck with the theme "Love Wins!" We hope that many in our congregation will be able to attend and to stay for the potluck. Our recipient for the Living Generously collection will be SEVA, a grass roots, non-profit organization comprised of Greeley citizens who believe all children should have access to meaningful interactions with adults. “Seva” is a Sanskrit word meaning “selfless service.” In ancient India, SEVA was believed to help one’s spiritual growth and at the same time contribute to the improvement of a community Community Events this Week Later This Month Events and Meetings Buddhist and Meditation Classes Held at Unitarian Universalist Church of Greeley, 929 15th St, Greeley, CO 80631 the Second Tuesday of each month starting at 2:30 pm Classes: August 13, September 9, October 6, November 12. For additional information email Janelle Helling at: janelle.helling@gmail.com Pathways to Meaning & Membership Class This class is designed to go over some of the basic history of Unitarian Universalism. It also helps you to better understand our congregation and see how you my deepen your involvement. It also is a great opportunity to meet others who are new to our church as well, but also have an interest in becoming more involved. While it is not required for membership, I highly recommend that you participate in this class as a first step to considering membership. The class is offered about once every six weeks or so and taught by our minister, Reverend Aaron Norris. The class takes about 90 minutes and follows a service. Class Dates are as Follows: August 11th, 2019. Social Justice Group Social Justice meetings will resume in September due to members being out of town. Social Justice Ministry meetings will be held on the third Monday of the month at 11:00 am. Strawberry plants, raspberry bushes, garlic and oregano from our garden. You can dig what you'd like, or if you're physically unable to dig, Tim will dig it for you. Please donate clean and wearable items. We except all types of clothing for all ages to be donated to the Greeley Interfaith Clothing Bank. We are also looking for business attire for women including, dresses, suits, slacks, shoes, purses and jewelry to donate to Leanna’s Closet. Please bring your items to church and deposit in the box provided. Thank you for you generous donations.
