What's happening at the UUCG? Oct. 24th - Oct. 30th, 2017 Tuesday October 24th- Colorado Energy Freedom Tour Concerned about clean air, water, jobs, and how to bridge the partisan divide? Here’s a positive solution - Bill Barron regional coordinator for 7 states will be traveling the state and in Greeley. When: 6:30pm - 8:00pm Where: Unitarian Universalist Church Please bring your friends, family and coworkers. Refreshments will be provided. Help Needed I am looking for volunteers to help clean up after the Colorado Energy Freedom Tour on Tuesday October 24. The event begins at 6:30pm and will end at 8:00pm. Clean up involves moving benches back in place, cleaning up refreshments, and sweeping the carpet. Please let Hollis or Margaret know if you can help. Thanks Tuesday October 24th - Spirituality, Religion and Conversation*Will Be Cancelled* SPIRITUALITY, RELIGION AND CONVERSATION will resume the second and fourth Tuesday at 7PM. November 14th Come and discuss “The Religion of Identity Politics”. Listen to a short podcast by Sam Harris prior to discussion. What is Identity Politics? Is it good or bad? How is it affecting our society? How is it affecting our church? How is it affecting Unitarian Universalism as a denomination? In the future we will continue to meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm at the UUCG. We will now be practicing after church on the first and second Sundays of each month after the service. Thank you! Sam Henline From your Board President Re: Space Availability: Hello all! I would like to make you aware of the church's availability on Sundays, after our usual 10:00 AM service. Our renters will now be starting their services at 4:00 PM each Sunday. The church will have availability for meetings / classes / events typically from 11:30 or 12:00 pm for church activities until approximately 3:30 PM - at the latest. Of course, we will have inquiries from occasional renters, but consider making your meeting after our service. The congregants are already here. You have the space. You STILL need to check with Margaret on availability, but please consider using the space. You may want to consider bringing something to eat for lunch to help tide you over for your meeting or activity. Do keep in mind that the third Sunday of the month, from 11:30 until usually 1:00 PM, you will find your Board of Trustees at work in the RE room. Available in October are some order forms which include a variety of retail, restaurant and hotel establishments that will donate a percentage back to our church. The Worship Committee We will be meeting on Sunday, November 5th at 11:30am. In addition to current committee members, anyone interested in being a Worship Associate for the upcoming year is encouraged to join us! The Other is located in the Barbara Bowles Room by the East entrance. Fresh Farm Eggs Available Kathy’s new Happy Chickens are laying nice farm fresh eggs. The cost is $3 a carton.
