June 19th - June 25th, 2018 The Results Are In! The winner of the Bloom/ UUCG Giveaway is the DREAMer Scholarship. Thank you to Rev. Barry & Amanda Bloom for their continual generosity! and to all of "UU" who voted! Social Justice NOTICE: HOMELESS DONATIONS ARE STILL NEEDED! The Social Justice Groupwill not be meeting in the summer but will continue The Bare Necessities Project by collecting clothes for the Greeley Clothing Bank. June 23 - "World Refugee Day" Saturday at 1 pm - 4 pm at the Hensel Phelps Theatre, at The Union Colony Civic Center (2nd Floor) 701 10th Ave., Greeley, CO 80631. Open house celebration includes: Speakers, film clips, information booth, food, activities, music, & arts. June 24th- “The Blessings of Music & Friends” Kathy Vaughn & UUCG Accompanist Sam Henline Since this is Sam Henline's last formal service until late August we will hear many piano pieces from him and sing a few hymns. Kathy Vaughn will present readings about the blessing of friends, and our congregation. The children will color pages in the back of the room. We're looking forward to hearing your ideas! The Book Club The Book Club meets on the third Thursday of the month at 1pm at Your Place Coffee. Anyone is welcome to drop in! The selection for June 21 will be Philippa Gregory's The Lady of the Rivers. Please Recycle Have you Noticed Our (2) Blue Recycling Bins in the Church? One is located by the North Entrance under our information station. The other is located in the Barbara Bowles Room by the East entrance. Fresh Farm Eggs For Sale Kathy Vaughn owns "Happy Chickens" Laying Fresh Farm Eggs! Those eggs can be found in the Fridge at the UUCG for $3.00 a carton. There is an envelope provided for your convenience! Host Families Needed The Chapter of the Americas is sponsoring 9 teachers from Brazil so they can improve their English and teaching skills, while attending Aims Community College. If you would like to host in your home for two weeks in July, please contact Carol Brickley at 970-590-2132 or email clbrick@comcast.net. Coffee The coffee is in! Anyone interested in buying a bag of Equal Exchange Whole Bean Coffee Labeled: Mind Body & Soul can now be purchased for $7.00 a bag, to help benefit the UUSC. Contact Kathy Vaughn to make a purchase or for more details. A/V is Looking For Help Do you have 1 Sunday a month to spare and want to try something new? Why not learn to run the A/V?
