In the fall we may choose to meet more often. Put these dates on your calendar if you would like to meditate or learn to meditate. June 27, July 25 and August 22. Led by Hollis Berendt Other News and Reminders Grocery Certificates Do you have $5 in cash or check? You can take that $5 and buy a King Soopers card on Sunday morning at church. Then take it to the store and load it up with any amount you want $25... $31.. $74..etc (whatever amount) and the UUCG will receive 5% back every time you reload. Reload before you purchase your items, simply hand your card with cash, check, debit or credit card to the cashier and tell them how much you would like on your card. There are no strings attached. You can still get the specials and can use coupons. And UUCG will get 5% of what you buy! IT'S THAT EASY... We will continue selling Sprouts and Safeway cards in $100 form. SSS (Spiritual Stimulation and Support) Group Meets 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 7:00pm in sanctuary: Our SSS Group continues to be a lively group of spiritual seekers with stimulating discussions over the last 5 months. We continue to meet in the sanctuary on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday evenings at 7pm (no childcare is provided). ALL are welcome to join (even if you've never attended before). People come and go as they are able. Each session is a stand alone, and no preparation is needed. Over the summer months, we are discussing articles from a book called "Humanist Voices in Unitarian Universalism." We read 1-2 short articles, and then discuss. Are you curious about Humanism? Please join us for this Adult Religious Exploration group! Every voice adds depth and varied perspective to the discussions!! Yours would be appreciated. Contact facilitator Marcia Free for questions at (Marcia.mae.free@gmail.com) Chalice Arts Don't miss the new Chalice Arts show! Photographs by Marybeth Coulter will be hanging in the sanctuary starting Mother's Day (May 14) and going through the end of July. Marybeth served as our church accompanist (2008-2010) and has worked in both photography and ceramics. Youth Religious Education This summer we will be having Fun Shops and Play Sundays. We need people to sign up to offer a story and a craft, or a special interest of yours that could appeal to the children. See the Clip-board in the foyer. Jill Koenig will be gone for the summer. Alondra Vera and one of her sisters, Sandra or Jessica, will be handling Childcare. Grocery Certificates Volunteers Needed Are you willing to give thirty minutes for 5% to the church? Josette Schaffer is trying to organize grocery gift card helpers like the coffee helpers. It takes 15 minutes before church and 15 minutes after. You could sign up for a Sunday in which your partner has another duty....coffee, worship associate, AV, choir, etc. It would be great to have 5-6 volunteers so they would only help two times a quarter. Please contact Josette if you are willing to help with this easy way to support our church. josetteschaffer@msn.com.
