What's happening at the UUCG? Nov. 6th - Nov. 13th, 2017 Chapter EC of PEO is selling nuts in November as a fundraiser for scholarships, grants and awards for women. Coming directly from growers, the nuts are bagged locally by members in 1# bags selling for $12. Think raw almonds, walnuts and pecans. Also available: salted cashews, pistachios, and mixed nuts. Theatre News Shelly Gaza is directing the play "Legacy of Light" that will run November 2 – 12 in the Norton Theatre on UNC’s campus. This dramatic comedy by Karen Zacarias explores themes of parenthood, science, and love – right up our UU alley! How is it affecting Unitarian Universalism as a denomination? Other News and Reminders From your Board President Re: Space Availability: Hello all! I would like to make you aware of the church's availability on Sundays, after our usual 10:00 AM service. Our renters will now be starting their services at 4:00 PM each Sunday. The church will have availability for meetings / classes / events typically from 11:30 or 12:00 pm for church activities until approximately 3:30 PM - at the latest. Of course, we will have inquiries from occasional renters, but consider making your meeting after our service. The congregants are already here. You have the space. You STILL need to check with Margaret on availability, but please consider using the space. You may want to consider bringing something to eat for lunch to help tide you over for your meeting or activity. Do keep in mind that the third Sunday of the month, from 11:30 until usually 1:00 PM, you will find your Board of Trustees at work in the RE room. Tuesday, November 21, 10-11:30 a.m. LFS and the Colorado Refugee Services Program (CRSP) are hosting the next Quarterly Community Consultation, public is invited to attend and share their thoughts and you’ll hear updates on refugee resettlement in Northern Colorado. If you have any Jackets, head gear, NEW socks, scarves, mittens or gloves, that are in good condition, come by our main campus—at 917 10th Ave, Greeley, CO 80631—and drop it off with us! We will sort through the items, create an inventory of what we have received, and then allow students to browse through for which items they or their family members may need. We will be accepting donations at our home campus Monday–Thursday, 8:00am–4:00pm until November 21st. Nonetheless, the sooner you get the donations in the better! Bus passes are another essential item during winter weather. For these passes, the duration of greatest use to us are the month-long passes.
