What's happening at the UUCG? Oct. 3rd - Oct. 9th, 2017
“We grieve the loss of Scott Clugston who passed away on Friday Sept 28. We send our condolences to wife Karen, our long time member and friend, and the Clugston family. Time and place for the Memorial Service will be announced soon.”
Wednesday October 4th - Choir Rehearsal
Our Accompanist Sam Henline would like to invite all available singers to choir rehearsal this Wednesday Oct. 4th at 7pm. We will be singing a short selection from La Bohème to coincide with Rev. Barry's sermon on courage and the opera on the 15th!
Sunday October 8th- "Why We Marched”
Ana Schultz & Hollis Berendt
Following the Unitarian Universal tradition of involvement in Social Justice, a group of women from our Greeley UU Church participated in the historic Women's March that took place not only in our country but around the world. Hollis Berendt, Josette Schaffer, Karen Clugston, Marcia Free and Ana Schultz will share their individual story of what motivated them to participate and their profound experience. We are living not just in “changing times” but a time that demands we participate in the changes that are happening around us.

Re: Space Availability:
Hello all! I would like to make you aware of the church's availability on Sundays, after our usual 10:00 AM service. Our renters will now be starting their services at 4:00 PM each Sunday. The church will have availability for meetings / classes / events typically from 11:30 or 12:00 pm for church activities until approximately 3:30 PM - at the latest. Of course, we will have inquiries from occasional renters, but consider making your meeting after our service. The congregants are already here. You have the space. You STILL need to check with Margaret on availability, but please consider using the space. You may want to consider bringing something to eat for lunch to help tide you over for your meeting or activity. Do keep in mind that the third Sunday of the month, from 11:30 until usually 1:00 PM, you will find your Board of Trustees at work in the RE room. Thank you,
Are you ready to do some easy shopping and support our church at the same time? How does 8% back to the church sound? Available in October are some order forms which include a variety of retail, restaurant and hotel establishments that will donate a percentage back to our church. Please come by the gift card table in the foyer or contact Josette at 381-7891 or email@example.com to find out more.
Coffee Hour Volunteers Needed:
Each Sunday, we are fortunate to have 1-2 volunteers bring/serve treats for coffee hour after the service. We are in dire need of volunteers to help us staff this time. Even 1 Sunday per quarter (every 3 months) is a major contribution. Training is provided and you will get to use our new coffee maker!!! We use Equal Exchange Fairly Traded coffee and most teas. A portion of our purchase helps fund the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee, our UU outreach service organization. Equal Exchange trades fairly and directly with 40 small-scale farmer cooperatives worldwide. It’s a great opportunity to meet congregants and interact with the UUCG community. Contact Diane Culver for info.
Have you Noticed Our (2) Blue Recycling Bins in the Church? One is located by the North Entrance under our information station. The Other is located in the Barbara Bowles Room by the East entrance.
