“Welcome” is often followed by “home.” As we re-energize our church life together on Sept 17th may we welcome each other with that phrase. Welcome home. Home is a place of safety, of shared love. A place to which we can always return no matter how many bumps and bruises life has given out in the world. Come, be welcomed home, and welcome others. It is time to continue our spiritual life together in blessed community.

Training for Sanctuary Volunteers
Welcome - thank you so much for signing up as a volunteer - we need all the help we can get!
As Foothills Unitarian Church moves forward with the critical ministry of providing sanctuary to a person facing deportation there are many ways in which you can help. Start by attending one of the upcoming training's at which we will give you a lot more information and learn from you, how you might want to serve.
Sunday Sept 10 5-7 pm
Monday Sept 11 1-3 pm
Thursday Sept 14 6-8 pm
Please register by using this link:
We will offer child care for each training but you MUST register!
Sorry for the short notice but we anticipate a person coming into sanctuary with us about mid September.
MDD Gathering and Annual Meeting
Will be hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder on October 13th (7:00 PM - 8:30 PM) and October 14th (8 AM - 4 PM). For more information, please check the MDD Annual Meeting website here. We are hoping to offer a car pool, if you would like to go. Both Kathy Vaughn and Julie Miller are planning on attending and have space available in their vehicles.
Coffee Hour Volunteers Needed:
Each Sunday, we are fortunate to have 1-2 volunteers bring/serve treats for coffee hour after the service. We are in dire need of volunteers to help us staff this time. Even 1 Sunday per quarter (every 3 months) is a major contribution. Training is provided and you will get to use our new coffee maker!!! It’s a great opportunity to meet congregants and interact with the UUCG community. Contact Diane Culver for info.
Be a Greeter on Sunday Morning
Please share your smiling faces to greet on Sunday mornings. All you need to do is arrive at 9:40 and:
1. Say, "Good morning. Here is an order of service"
2. Hand out an order of service.
3. Remind the person to put on their name tag. (Another volunteer will be at the Newcomers Cafe to talk with visitors.)
4. About 10 minutes after the service begins, do a head-count and give the number to the worship associate.
Please contact Hollis at email@example.com, if you'd like to help. Thank You!
