What's happening at the UUCG?
Sept. 6th - Sept. 12th, 2017 A Note From Rev. Barry Dear Ones. I am so frustrated that I am once again kept from being with you because of a health problem. I have eye surgery on my left eye today. I am hoping there will be a rapid enough recovery that all will be well come the 17th of Sept when we have our celebration (delayed) of the beginning of our new church year. I asked a trusted medical advisor what is going on with me that all of these parts of me are breaking down. She said, besides getting old you mean? I can’t apologize for getting older but I can certainly empathize with any of you who may be feeling frustrated at my frequent health related absences. I look forward to being with you soon. My thoughts and prayers are with you. See ya! Peace, Rev Barry Bloom Wednesday Sept. 6th- Choir Practice 7pm at the UUCG. Sunday Sept 10- "Resilience - Knowing How to Adjust Our Sail" - Julie Miller We will examine resiliency, not only as a personal strength, but also how it can come from being in community. with others. RE:Water Communion Tuesday Sept. 12th - Spiritual Stimulation & Support Group Our 2nd & 4th Tuesday evenings Spiritual Stimulation and Support Group will meet from 7:00 to 8:00pm in the church sanctuary for sharing and caring. Each night is a stand-alone event where anyone is welcome to join, even if you are only available for the one single evening. Each group is different depending on who shows up, and their needs for stimulation and/or support. We strive to honor one an-others life path, experiences, and perspectives. We share from the heart, and open ourselves to listen fully to one another with compassion. What is shared in the group, stays in the group. This Month’s Theme is Humanism.
