Rev. Kelly used our third source (Wisdom from the world's religions which inspires us in our ethical and spiritual life) and shared stories about this season of light which has been alive for thousands of years. This is the time of year that is dark and fertile - a good time to plants seeds. Each of us planted:
1 - a seed we want to grow in ourselves
2 - a seed we want to grow in our relationships
3 - a seed we want to grow in the world
They are nestled in this pot of dark, moist soil.
The sun will now shine upon it, bringing growth and joy. Stay tuned to see our seeds growing! (It's basil, by the way).
Rev. Dr. Marlin Lavanhar from All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa helped us explore how hard forgiving is. He suggests that when we do, we free ourselves from the past and allow ourselves to live in the present. Forgiveness is a gift we give to ourselves.
Together, we explored how asking for forgiveness and forgiving ourselves is one way to begin again - to reconnect to our sacred selves, each other, and the interdependent web of life. This podcast starts with a reading done by Claire Barta and Rev. Kelly's sermon which includes a guided meditation.
Here you will find recent sermons, some audio, some video.
