A call is a difficult ask made by something greater than ourselves that compels us to live beyond who we originally thought we were. Rev. Norris explores why calls are unpleasant, easy to ignore, and yet vital to hear and answer, again and again. He’ll ask the questions: What are you called to? What are we called together to?

In hydrologic terms, a watershed is the place where water begins to gather across the landscape and begin its great migration to the sea. In sociological terms, a watershed is a turning point in a historical moment. Join us for our annual water communion and in gathering. This will be Rev. Aaron Norris’ first time in the pulpit, as we bring waters from our lives to share and celebrate being together again in the new church year.
Pagans have gotten a bum rap. The worship of nature is our oldest spiritual impulse, and these days it might be just what we need to save our planet. Steve will talk and sing about Wiccan and Native American paths, and how he found out he was a Born-Again Pagan. Learn about the real old-time religion, and help God get in touch with his feminine side. Special Guest Musician from Austin, TX., Steve Brooks, will present a service filled with music. His trademark is to weave words and music together.
Steve Waechter & Carol Brickley, will speak about the dignity and worth of all through this partnership. Their mission statement is to connect people and organizations across borders to serve and change lives through lasting partnerships. Inspired by President Kennedy in 1964 under the Alliance for Progress.

A voice play done by members of the congregation focusing on the stories from voices of the LGBTQ+ community, and their families, friends, and allies. We hope to see you there! Blessing is the theme for the month. How perfect. Because that is exactly what I want to give you in this service. Native peoples the world over have taught us Westerners that “getting” is not where it’s at, it is “giving” that brings us together and fuels the spirit of our community. The Navajo “Blessing Way” is one way to bring well being to all. We will practice blessing each other and I get to practice blessing you!
There are few people among us with more wit and common sense than “Bob.” He is/was a UU minister in the Pacific Northwest, living in a houseboat, finally settling into his truest ministry, writing. His books, beginning with, “All I Really Need to know I Learned in Kindergarten,” are truly funny, but funny wise. The way you would expect a good UU minister to write. So come to enjoy his creativity, his singular goofy vision, and let us bring some much needed balance into our world with laughter.
From the most casual descriptions of daily life, to profound insights into the human condition, Mary Oliver has been lending us her great mind and vulnerable emotions for many years. She, more than any writer these last 50 years or so, has led us into the bosom of nature. Has led us to see light and life in new ways. We welcome her voice this day. May we leave better knowing what we want to do with our “one wild and precious” lives.
